I am expecting it to bounce back to scratch my position so will sit it out until post time.

I am expecting the price to return and will wait for it to bounce back and take my 1 tick profit.

Close when I see more money coming for it or other relating factors (another runner drifting).

Hypothetical question.

(pre race horse racing market)

The market is a strong stable high quality race. Group 1. All the runners prices have moved less than three ticks all day.

You are scalping one of the runners. A large order for 50k hits the market 5 mins to post time and takes out your selection. Your trade is now minus 7 ticks.

What would you do?

I actually believe there are two answers to this question that would keep you in profit over the long term.
