One of my personal favourite strategies is,after about 20 minutes in a game that is still 0-0 and has a fair bit of action,Shots on target, corners etc,to lay the Half time score market 0-0 and then back 1-1 as cover just in case a quick reply goes in soon afterwards or before Half time. Is it at all possible to automate a 0-0 half time after around 20 minutes and also back 1-1 HT at same time?

would you be backing the 1-1 in the CS HT market or extending it out to the full game in the CS FT market??

Why would you need "cover" at all? After the first goal is scored, you've won.

excellent observation, only on 2nd reading did i spot that he'd mentioned the 1-1 back as cover (which of course simply cannot occur as the gaol has come anyway). i think however, maybe he's going for the doubler, and looking to back 1-1 in case the 0-0 scoreline doesn't get layed in time (maybe he's drip laying) - not sure tho as he doesn't mention. :D

If you laid the HT draw, as opposed to 0-0 correct score, you might want to cover with 1-1 HT (or perhaps FT). I'm not a fan of these so-called 'insurance' bets, but it's started me thinking about how these scorelines' odds change and decay as the 1st half progresses and a goal is scored.

yup, i'm seeing (in my mind) the 1-1 as a tactical bet for the reason you mention. no matter who scores, the 1-1 will decay and even a few £ can be made inside 4-5 mins in that scenario.

I also meant 1-1 in the HT CS market.
The use of the word 'cover' was a bit of a freudian slip as this strategy began with a LTD Half Time and that required a 1-1 CS Half Time as cover, but I adapted it try and play up the profit if there was an equaliser soon after, which there sometimes is. Eg I would lay 0-0 HT CS with say £10 Liability and then place a £2 bet on the best market price of 1-1 on the HT CS market. So even if there was no 1-1 HT CS at the very least there was a small profit if a goal was scored before Half Time. :)

Hope this explains it a bit better.

if he backes 1-1 at HT it could mean odds drop after first goal, thus he wins 0-0 lay bet + locks 1-1 in profit. However I am not aware how significantly odds fluctuate at HT markets.
