Lay runner prior to off and create trigger to back in play if odds drop below X odds.

Hi, I am brand new to BA and would really apreciate being pointed in the right direction in relation to a bot I would like to create.

I would like to lay a horse pre off by a certain duration eg 1 minute.

The horse I would like to lay would be the lowest odds selection between a certain range eg 10 - 20 (if there are multiple selections between this odds range)

I would like to lay the horse for a certain liability eg £100

I would like to set a trigger to place a back bet on this paeticular runner if the odds for this selection drop in play eg 3.0

I would like the back bet to be placed at 2.0 when the trigger is activated to either wait and be filled at 2.0 or I imagine betfair will automatically fill at best odds above 2.0 if available.

I would like the back bet to be 50 % of the original lay bet liability eg £50

The idea is to reduce the potential loss with an automatic 'red up' if and when the back bet is filled.

If it isn't possible to do this via automation - is it possible via Excel?

I don't mind if it isn't possible to originally select the runner automatically between the odds range - I would be happy to manually chose my selections using guardian for each race once I am able create a bot for the remainder.

Any assistance will be greatfuly appreciated.

Best regards

Thank you Dallas. Very much appreciated. Would never have worked out how to set it up like that.

Once you start creating rules you'll see its far less complicated to do than it forst looks when typed out like above, the majority is self explanitory and is just a case of taking it step by step.
When doing your own rules always start with it written down like you did above then work your way through it line by line crossing out each bit as its done and it'll soon come together
