I am wanting to place a lay bet for the same amount as my back bet using signals, the problem I am finding is my back bet may only be partially matched. so how can I lay for exactally that amount?

Maybe use the offset option when placing the bet? I think if you use the offset in batches option itll offset some of the bet as it's matched.
E.g. Use offset with batches and set the batch size to £1 so every £1 that's matched, the opposite bet will be placed wherever, depending on what your offset ticks is set to.
Just FYI I think you need to have the fill or kill option on, otherwise it'll offset when the bet is placed, not matched. So if you just set this to 9999 f you want to your vet to hang around until matched.
