Hi guys,

I take it Betfair won't take responsibility for me losing a considerable amount of money because the market didnt go inplay? BF was down for a period of time yesterday morning when I was trading on Australian gallops. I'd hope they'd void all bets but clearly they haven't. As it happens this has happened to me before but the runner won so I made a lot more than I intended to on the inplay trade (obviously I wasn't complaing at the time but this is for a lot more money this time)

Thoughts? :(

All bets will stand, it would be the same if there was a crash any open positions are settled as per the result

Nothing you can do , their t&c's cover them for basically any scenario where it might cost them money. And to be fair no reason why the person on the other end of your bet shouldn't be paid as the site isn't only for traders.

Unless you can lay off elsewhere like Betdaq you just have to accept the swings and roundabouts of outages, ensuring every bet you place you're prepared to lose.
