Sorry for the noddy question
Am i right in saying greening (across the whole field) will not work if the stake required to green is <£2?
Will BA just not attempt to green anything in this case or will it green as much as it can for selections where the required bet is >£2?
I presume the 'trick' to get round the £2 minimum is not implemented in BA for reasons that it is quite complicated and betfair wouldn't be happy?
thanks!

It will place less than £2 if needed.
Say you need to lay £0.51 at 4.2
BA will put in a lay of £2 at 1.01,
Then adjust the £2 stake to £2.51
This submits another £0.51 at 1.01
It will then cancel the £2 lay at 1.01 and change the £0.51 to odds of 4.2
It will do the same for a back doing it at 1000.0 instead of 1.01.
If the selection is already at odds of 1.01 for lays or 1000.0 it will submit the initial £2 and this will get matched immediately so it won't be able to place less than £2 in such circumstances.
Hope that helps.
