There is an in-running delay, so probably what is happening is that the price is reaching 1.25. Your bet is triggered but by the time it has reached the market the price is probably shorter so you never get matched. Maybe you should trigger at 1.25 but put the asking price slightly lower as this will get filled more often?

Hi Kingyo

Do you use this tactic across all races, or just in particular instances (say, only on certain courses)?

I do 90% of my trading in- running I just find it alot easier ,backing 1.25 blantly will send you to the poor house ,when you say track's their all mine fields your better looking at data on distance's and class of race

Yes ,it's reasonable explanation ,some people trying to cover the gap fall in trap and their bets are matched ,beacause they don't see money over there.

But by the way I will ask you if this is possible that softowner (not you ,in general ) can build extra spreadsheet to his software which will follow automatically one of the succesful traders putting bets in front of him ?That's what I think suggest Jim Makos in his blog .

If you make the first bet conditional on the price of the second favourite this seems to work well.
