Today, I backed a horse at about 10.0. I was unable to close the trade when the price fell. Instead, I got a message saying that the lay would exceeded my maximum liability of 1000 pounds!
This is obviously a bug in Betfair, as closing the trade would have given me a guaranteed profit!
How do I increase my maximum liability to prevent this from happening again?
Thanks
Jeff
Maximum liability
Hi Jeff,
have you got your max. liability set at 1000 on the global settings bit on BA (next to the calculator button)? If so and your lay liability was greater than 1000 you'd get an "exceeded liability" error message whether or not you'd got the bet on first. At least that's what happens to me sometimes, not for a grand though ,you high roller,
cheers, P

Thanks Prediction. I'll take a look.
I don't normally risk more than a grand at a time, but hopefully that won't always be the case!
