You can see from the results yesterday that draw was important and so was the ability to handle the track.

I have been waiting for the return of Kingdom of Fife but I am concerned about him being able to handle the track. He's a smart horse but the bend that leads into the finishing straight is a tight one and I worry he might take too long to reach the leaders. I will have to overlook him today as that is simply too many concerns. The horse of stronger interest is Redwood as he ran a cracker in the Fielden Stakes only to go wrong in the Dante. When he ran recently at Sandown he came with a late closing run and nearly got up to win. I just watched the race again and he did hang across to the right - I just hope he doesn't do that today as going right on such a tight left handed track is not a good idea. It's a tight race and again it means smaller stakes. I may end up looking to Dutch South Easter with Redwood as they do look likely to fight this out. The former won the Dee Stakes here last year and as I mentioned before, the ability to handle the track is a big positive. His form was boosted by the cracking run of Hominiere at the weekend and connections have rested him for this race. You will be getting a dutched price to around 2.40 for these two which I feel it pretty fair - I cannot see the others figuring in the race. Now watch Kingdom of Fife go and win because I have overlooked him today!

I have other horses on my list so I will try and get some others listed later.

Hi,

Not sure how relevant or significant but it has rained on and off during the night/AM and has rained heavily for the past 2 hours. Overcast with prolonged showers now.

I not sure if that will affect the ground at all I'm 2 miles from Chester  in work and not able to go there.

Have a good un and thanks for the post JG have I don't have a paper with me but with a post like that I'll save £1.70 on the RP.

Cheers

Shocking that a professional sports man goes out on the lash the night before he is at work.

Hope he gets a nice ban and fine and I hope he got lucky last night to make up for it

The ground is a bigger problem, it seems to be kicking up lumps. I'm sticking to the trading now because the form is starting to look unreliable with this ever changing going.
