I've read on other forums that the non-API modes are a bit faster compared to the API so my question is what are the benefits of using this mode over the others?
is 0 the only API mode?
why highlighted odds are not displayed in the non-API modes?

API mode
It's down to person preferance really. The user guide details different connection modes and you can experiment if you wish to find what works best at your location. A lot of people use the hybrid modes as they get the best out of each channel.
