Why did I lose?

Hi, I am new to all this ...on the 7:30 at Lingfield I lost over £17 I am hoping someone can tell me why.
I put a £2 Back bet on Fame and Fortune at 9.8 and it was fully matched I had it set at 21 ticks and pressed keep all so it would go in play
W hen it was InPlay my profit started to turn Red so I pressed the box so I wouldn't lose all of my £2 stake
I used Global settings ...off set bet with Greening plus the Greening box ticked as well....it didn't stop it kept going I thought if it got to 21 ticks I pressed it would stop....I know I had £263 plus odd pence then £2 stake and I finished up with £244.89
Fame and Fortune ...Won the race at 6/1

If you post up the log it should explain what happened, but from what you've said it sounds like you may have been greening up before the previous order reached the market.

Check your matched bets to see what happened or statement on Betfair website - sounds to me like you may have either layed it at high odds when it drifted out or clicked more than once trying to trade out and more than one bet has matched.
