Scalping - Unmatched Bets Issue

Can anyone help me with a very simple scalping bot ?

I've spend all morning on it trying all sorts of options but keep hitting the same problem.

Step 1 is to place a back bet with it offset once the back bet gets matched (using fill or kill ) .

Once the corresponding lay bet gets matched step 1 should kick in again and place a back bet (repeat scalp) .

I have a condition of "Number of unmatched bets " set to 0 so it should only fire when lay bet is fully matched .

However , it seems in the time between the back bet getting matched and the lay bet getting placed another back bet is getting place as the unmatched condition is being met.

I've tried only firing once and having multiple rules along with all sorts of what I thought were clever ideas , every time I thought of a way I patted myself on the back for being a genius only to find out they were all flawed.

I've also trawled through the forum but keep hitting the same problem.

I'm sure the answer is really simple but I can't see it , I will have no hair left shortly

Hi, try adding batches to your fill and kill that way it will place offset batches as your back bet gets filled. Hope that helps.

Add a 'fill/kill bet time' condition
is greater than 1 second

(or longer if using it in-play)

Thanks guys- maddeningly I just saw the active fill/kill option in between posting and checking for replies - thought it might be it and Dallas's reply has assured me it is !

Soooooo many options in there which bring flexibility but so much to learn - unbelievable how good and thought through this product is .

Can offset batches be used with automation? And if so, must the fill or kill be used?

Yes they can be used with automation (located in the global settings area on the parameters tab of the rules editor)

They can only be used with fill/kill, without fill/kill the whole offset would be placed at the time the opening bet is

Thanks Dallas and what's the smallest increment or percentage batch size? Can they be below £2? And finally, what's the longest fill/kill can be set for - is it 600 seconds (10 mins)?

Off the top of my head, the fill/kill limit is either 99999 or as many nines as you want making it unlimited
The batches could be done in pennies but bear in mind each one is another transaction so you could run into charges if you use to small amount and someone nibbles away at your bet
