Interesting story coming out from a poker forum I post on and also on the bf forum now.

Basically a poster named "Blatch" secured funding from people on the forum to Pre trade football games for a profit. Blatch went on to post great weekly profit totals, and more and more people were sucked in to invest until he had a fund of appro £70k. Unfortunately it appears the totals were made up and the money gambled away.
I did not invest :D :D :D
Link here if thats ok Peter

Has he disappeared then?

How did people find out the £70k had gone?

I've always been confused as to why people would give money to others with which to speculate in these markets? If you get trading right or find an edge in betting the RoI is so high you soon bump against a glass ceiling of liquidity. So why would you give people a lot of money when they will have exactly the same problem?

Unless it's something special, I think there can only be only one reason why people want others money to bet with.

I don't wish to rub salt into the wound but have you read some of those threads?

There were people raising concerns and asking sensible questions and then others were coming on telling them to keep their nose out as they didn't understand how great the returns were and how much money this guy was making for them

I think those guys couldn't find gullible in their dictionaries.

I feel sorry for yet more people who have been ripped off but come on!!

I find the people that do this kind of scheme so lame...

Borrowing money, Ponzi's, it's really hard to believe how many people invest their time fooling others. How aren't they ashamed?! Some shouldn't be allowed to walk 'straight', they should always keep their hands on the ground.

It's not just morons who are taken in by con artists.

Otherwise intelligent people can be just as susceptible to letting their emotions get the better of their judgment.

It's say that traders are in the top 10% of the population intelligence-wise, but 95% lose money consistently. Go figure... :)

Hi Jeff, I was talknig otherwise, the guys that are caught in the con asre just victims, I feel sorry for them, but there will be always someone innocent to fool.

I'm talking against the guys that perform cons. Really lame to take advantage on someone else's innocence.
