Anybody else finding the races particularly terrible today? or is it just me being rubbish? :(

Rubbish - every week I say I won't bother with Monday and Tuesday but for some unknown reason I find myself sitting down at the PC. This will be my last until we are back to 3 meetings :!:

It just isn't worth the time for such little reward. The markets are just being controlled by one person or group with their few thousand that they stack up and remove and re-enter as needed. Trying to battle these people in such poor markets just isn't worth it.

Another 2 months of this situation unfortunately and if RFC get their way we will have it year round :o

Two card afternoons are just rubbish and not worth it in the summer.

I am having problems as well after long time. This person ( which i believe is BetFair) after many attempts of manipulating the odds usually let the price go to the right direction but, yesterday and today he seems to have a stone in his head insted then his brain. bytheway he is losing so I am happy.

Is the same to be expected of tuesday evening racing? i know mondays and tuesdays are marked as slow and difficult but i found yesterday evening's races a lot more profitable. I'm not sure wether to bother tonight!

The evenings do tend to be better imo and with the added third meeting (Sligo) it usually helps.

2 days away next week for me Mountain Biking, just working on a route :)

Interesting to read this thread as I also found it tough out there today. Just wasnt worth my time today.

Lesson learnt again about early week trading and the need to be cautious.

I'm tempted to scratch monday and tuesdays off my calender altogether, the rest of the week i'm getting consistantly good profits but as Andy said it just felt like the markets were being manipulated today. I'll have to find something more productive to do with early week

Was that another tough Tuesday or was my brain and finger just not in sync?

Came out with a profit but only thanks to some bigger wins.

I was a bit all over the place today but managed to pull an average result out of the bag thanks to one really good race. Was speaking to another trader though and they were doing well so I guess it comes down to style.

I never like Mondays or Tuesdays, not enough decent racing on.

I have always found Tuesdays though for some reason.

I used to think that maybe it was traders who had taken Sunday and Monday off and started Tuesday refreshed, all fired up and raring to go.

But now I'm thinking it's just a physcological thing I have about Tuesday trading where I start the day not expecting the best (not a great attitude I know).

I found it very hard work, I slowly built up a profit of £120 throughout the day to lose about £160 on the very last race. Annoying!

I also found Monday hard work as well, just not much money about at the moment and the markets are bloody hard work, hard not to get stung, I don't think they'll get much better till about April either so time to adapt or die

After trading/treding water for about 10 days I decided to add a bit of spice to things by trebbling my normal in running stakes. I figured I was being ill-disciplined because the stakes were too comfortable.

I started this on Saturday and have been going great since then. I think because the stakes are much bigger I am not getting involved in races unless I see a real opportunity.
