ridiculous systems i bought when starting out

just wondered if anyone bought systems promising riches in the early days or was i the only mug

i bought a system from IPI laying .heres the system something along these lines ,lay any horse under 20 sp that drifts 3 or more points before the off .. i didnt find the riches it promised

oh no kai i bought many many more including the back the first fav at one meeting and if it loses double up on the next until you get a winner

The most ridiculous system I ever encountered was one that required £2500, 4 X £500 banks to be used with 4 different systems and a £500 emergency fund. When one of the systems loses £250 you stop using it, chuck what's left of the bank into the emergency fund and use it for arbing or matched betting until you've recovered the money. If successful, you then go back to using the system that lost half its bank.

Remarkably, I visited that site a few years after the excitement of this amazing system had faded and instead of a promotion, I saw an entire list of all sales, affiliate payments and customers.

I've not had the pleasure of checking out any of the stuff from the above clip, besides Mr Bery's scalping guide obviously. But I really like the sound of "The Grail Method" and especially the "LAY THE DRAW BACK 1-1" system, since there's probably no need to purchase that one because the name of the system probably already includes all of the instructions

Although maybe the most ridiculous system that comes to mind was laying over 3.5 goals around the price of 3.50 for the first 10-15 minutes of a match, and if you get caught with a goal you're supposed to double up on stakes and wait a bit longer to get back to scratch. When you purchase the system you get a guy showing you how to do it in practice mode.

That one sounds familiar actually iirc, I think it was something simple like back 0-0 and lay the draw. That must have worked amazing during that supposedly golden age of LTD when underdogs never used to score the first goal

The reasons behind why people buy these things are always curious to me, the following post always sticks out to me where a new users seeked the advice of the forum about implementing it and was told by everyone to ignore it - yet he still posted back to say thanks but it's had great reviews and im going to try it anyway

The desperation to seek quick and easy money always oversides basic common sense and all warning signs in some individuals

The only one worth its salt was false favourites which actually showed a decent way to study form etc but you had to put the work in
