Excel cross-reference issues

Hi everyone,

I am new to BA and currently face a problem that I struggle to understand.

Whenever I open the BetAngel_1 file and then open a blank workbook to cross-reference any random cell from BetAngel_1 file, everything seems to work quite well. However, once I open one of my workbooks that contains a macro (.xlsm), the cross-referencing stops working, i.e. after I enter "=" and then go back to BetAngel_1, it wouldn't allow me to select anything.

Is there something that I am not aware of in terms of how the BetAngel_1 excel file works? Please can someone help me?
