Hi, I have searched for this but cant find it anywhere, and im sure its a very simple one so please bare with me.

At the back end of a horse race when prices are moving like crazy, if I spot an outsider steaming in and its price is dropping like the clappers, if I manually click "back" at say 10.0, the bet is unmatched and stays there while the price drops to 7.0. So I click again and still miss it as it drops to 4.0.

How can I instruct bet angel to just get a match at any price when I click?

This isn't the foundation of what im trying to do, just a late insurance bet, which I cant really automate as it could happen to any horse and often happens too early for me to want to take it, so I like manual judgement.

Thanks for any help.

Also, I do understand how to use stop loss on an individual selection, but how could I automate getting out of trouble when facing, say, a £10 loss on a market across 2 or more selections - getting out of the market completely rather than getting out of 1 selection?. Simply manually clicking the red figure is often the simplest way but id like to make sure I cant lose more than a set amount if that situation is only available for half a second.

Thank you!

How are you placing the back bets, are you clicking a price on the ladder and hoping that price gets filled, if you click underneath where there's white space it will fill you at best market price but even better just use the in running tool built into betangel.

For a stop loss they're largely useless in running as the price just jumps right over it. What I've done in the past is create a really simple redding servant with a 'green all selections' rule and in the conditions set it to green all selections if profit is £-10 or whatever you want then run it on each market you're trading.

I'm sure there's others with better experience that can tell you something better though :)

Appreciate that, thanks.

I need to get familiar with the in-play trader, i avoided it as it was more confusing than seeing the figures in blocks, but thats a good idea, so i can just click lower than the current price to get matched.

With the stop loss, i assumed quite narrow mindedly, that a green out command would only work with a green position. Putting in a minus figure is obvious now youve said it

Yep exactly so clicking lower than the current price means you will be matched at the current best market price (naturally on the back side otherwise if it's on the lay side you're just placing a lay bet further down the ladder but it works opposite for lays, clicking anywhere above the lay side on the ladder will see you matched instantly.) For the stop loss servant Dallas has a ready made one you can just amend to in play

Alternatively if you are using the one-click screen you could add the Manual Odds Column and the BACK ALL Column and set the price to 1.01.

Or you could add a 1.01 custom column button and use either method beside the In-Play trader
