Been playing around with my ladder this afternoon, I set my matched volume column to Black, as you see below, it's a little ugly to the eye but it shuts out a lot of the noise and, as time goes by (just like below) the Black closes in with the book, helping to narrow focus, and for me reduce noise... maybe it'll help people who are new to the ladders idk.
Maybe if the matched volume over the last x seconds was reduced or expanded it would be less or more obvious. It would probably be better explained in a video (like a timelapse) but i'm not bothering to go to that trouble.

Here's what I think:jamesg46 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:59 pmBeen playing around with my ladder this afternoon, I set my matched volume column to Black, as you see below, it's a little ugly to the eye but it shuts out a lot of the noise and, as time goes by (just like below) the Black closes in with the book, helping to narrow focus, and for me reduce noise... maybe it'll help people who are new to the ladders idk.

That's actually not a bad way of looking at it.

are you using SV's and markers to achieve this (i.e. the muted display of the prices, other than where there's money floating around)??.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:33 pmLike a pool of liquidity... we struck oil![]()
While we're at it.

i think this could be used to great effect for manual traders if you were able to link volume traded at certain prices and/or a shadow overlay of vwap. it could make it too busy i know but having everything else muted apart from the ACTION mght yield a different way of thinking about it. could also be useful for auto traders using the same type of sv's.
if you are using some sort of sv collection and markers, it would be a nice shared file

No, nothing other than blacking out the matched volume column. The SV im using is for the marker which is showing the VWAP. Other than that its just down to setting your preferred time for recent matched volume.jimibt wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:54 pmare you using SV's and markers to achieve this (i.e. the muted display of the prices, other than where there's money floating around)??.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:33 pmLike a pool of liquidity... we struck oil![]()

I was thinking if you set the time really low, it would be effective for in running but as I don't trade in running I havent looked at it.
I'll upload the ladder settings, there isn't much to it but for anyone who's new it could save them the time of trying to adjust theirs if they wanted the ladders like this.jimibt wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:54 pmare you using SV's and markers to achieve this (i.e. the muted display of the prices, other than where there's money floating around)??.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:33 pmLike a pool of liquidity... we struck oil![]()

For anyone else, it'll just be a case of tidying it up to their preferences.
Maybe better to post it in the 'Shared Ladder' settings area, then link to it from herejamesg46 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 8:15 pmI'll upload the ladder settings, there isn't much to it but for anyone who's new it could save them the time of trying to adjust theirs if they wanted the ladders like this.jimibt wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:54 pmare you using SV's and markers to achieve this (i.e. the muted display of the prices, other than where there's money floating around)??.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 7:33 pmLike a pool of liquidity... we struck oil![]()

You've got the <Bet Angel Settings> profile selected
You need to select the one you've just created, if you've edited your <Bet Angel Settings> profile to create it you'll first need to save AS (by clicking the disc+ icon) and give it a new name, then you'll be able to select it and export it
