Hi chaps. New here (as will become obvious)!
This all looks complex right now, advice appreciated. I'm just looking to be able to place a lay bet at a shorter price than what is currently available. Then, if and when that bet is matched I would like to be set up to automatically back that same selection for a different stake.

Finally, if I set orders at the beginning of the day does my computer have to actively remain on the site for my bets to be matched (assuming they are triggered)?

Yes, you need to maintain an active connection to retrieve market updates and send bets when required so you need to ensure any sleep/hibernation mode is also disabled
