Just noticed the GC have added a much shorter quantitative survey which is almost all multiple choice and takes about 3 mins to complete.

It's a really difficult survey to complete.
When gambling businesses are aware that a customer is in a vulnerable situation, should they be required to take action to support that customer?

Some of the questions have the 'other' option and a comment box, where you can say: depends what you mean by "aware", but this one doesn't. Many questions I'd like to have commented on but the comment box was missing.

Already completed the qualitative version a few weeks ago.
They'll just be pulling together graphs and word clouds from this one I expect. Better as many people as possible spend 3 mins on the multiple choice answers than not share their views at all?

Please don't let me put you off doing what you're doing by any means. It's laudable.
My concern is that a survey is just that, not a vote. Government and other official bodies have a tendency to manipulate surveys to gain their ojective. There has been a lot of negative publicity re gambling.
We've all seen punters in arcades, casinos, bookies going mental after losing large sums. They scream 'I wish they'd get rid of all this....it's fixed....I'm going to smash these f.....g machines'. These punters may even take part in the survey and the officials will likely highlight some of these negative cases to demonstrate their point and how what they're proposing is in everyone's interest.
I recall many moons ago there was some kind of survey and consultation re the London Congestion Charge. Kensington and Chelsea borough residents didn't want it. It didn't stop the Govt inncluding their borough in it. Ken Livingstone promised to remove it from Kensington and Chelsea if he became Mayor. He did remove it mind you took his own sweet time doing so (about 18 months).
I remember another case where I was living about 20 years ago. We had no problem with parking. The council was introducing resident bays, zones in nearby streets. We still seemed to be ok where we were. Then they came to town to do a public 'survey' we could go along to where they'd parked a campaign type van to meet the officials and have our say. I argued with the rep but it was like speaking to a broken record, their mind was already set.
I know these things have nothing to do with betting and trading merely illustrating my mistrust of offialdom.
