Dear All,
I'd just like to post a warning when trading overseas markets.
Last evening (04/02/21), I had several bets on the Lausanne v Basel soccer match which were all in profit up to kick off, as the match kicked off the market along with several other soccer matches in play at the time was suspended, it finally came back on line 26 minutes later after a goal had been scored, this left me with loss position which I had to quickly close in case in went down again.
This morning I spoke to Betfair via there very poor chat service, and was amazed by their couldn't care less attitude, all I got was a cut and paste answer saying they have the right to suspend a market at anytime, when I pressed the matter I got another cut and paste link to the terms and conditions.
This will be the last time I take the risk trading an overseas soccer match.
It would be interesting if they did this during a major Premier League match.
Thanks for your Time.
Stay safe everybody.
Tony
Word Of Warning When Trading Overseas Markets
Quite a common occurrence I'm afraid, they actually seem to have gotten much better to what they were a few years ago, here's one of a few long running threads of the time
