Hi all,
I'm currently using another automation software where I automatically get picks for the day loaded via a CSV file. I've got a range of different bots setup and I'm just wondering if anyone else has migrated from another automated betting software to Ben Angel and can still auto load picks from a csv file?
Looking to migrate from another automation software
There are two options
A) Using an Excel worksheet connected to Bet Angel
Bet Angel Professional has the ability bind markets to individual worksheets, you can then link that to your own file by creating a macro that scans your txt/csv file, and places betting commands on the worksheet bound to the appropriate market..... Bet Angel will then see those commands and place the bet(s) with betfair.
B) Using Bet Angel's own in built automation tool
One of the rule types you can select is called 'Set Stored Values using a file' which processes a CSV file.
There's an example of the format of the CSV in the templates folder of Bet Angel:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bet Angel Limited\Bet Angel - Professional\templates\Automation_SetStoredValues_Example.csv
The format of the file allows matching against any of the following: Market name, Market Time, Selection Name, Selection Row Number. So in your case you'd want each of your runner names listed in the file so that it can set a Stored Value to mark that runner when it finds a name match

I've recently switched to BA. I didn't have any automation on the old software that I was still using and needed to transfer, but if I did, whilst I could copy the code over I would have to rearrange the spreadsheet as BA connects to a different spreadsheet format.theglove wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 8:25 amHi all,
