Do you have any favourite or least favourite track to use in your trading?

I have always found my results difficult at Southwell jumps racing - though I'm working on it. I need to know why I do worse there often really.

Anyone else have either least favourite or prefered courses in their experience?

I am currently working on an idea that Southwell jumps is difficult as it's an unusual track due to the flat nature of the course. Stamina and speed are different in this jumps track compared to others as requirement.

At least that's my initial stab at why I get it wrong more often there...

Lingfield is my worst, followed closely by Ffos las
Or 'Fast Loss' as Peter has named it

Sometimes found the AW tracks tricky also (though not the worst overall). Have to be more wary of the 'coups' and the 'never nearer - i.e. pulled' ones in those tracks IMO. This can mangle markets in my experience for AW racing.

I tend to avoid them most of the time, I can't remember the last time I seriously sat down to trade an AW meeting

Redcar

Coz I lived next door to it. I knew a few annual members and used to get into the Owner's lounge (Dandy Nicholls often went in there). Met some well-to-do wealthy people (yes, there are some in the North-East), all were down to earth and a great laugh.

...big plus, unlike most of the bigger meetings, one could always get a pint served quickly ;)

Trading or betting wise I've never succeeded there !

Favourite: Not sure

Least favourite: Ffos las, Kelso, Hexham, Ludlow and probably a few others

Have to be careful with this because it can become confirmation bias which is deadly in trading.

Fair point, do you mean this could cause some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy in that we might lose at tracks we assume are bad for us?

Plus, would this assume that our 'bad' tracks are just simple variance in that case - or are there actually some fundamental reasons (that was my assumption)?
