Hopefully this doesn't encourage even more abuse towards CS overall, because when they get fed up and quit they have to bring new clueless people in and nobody wins in the end

A valid point!

Maybe an administrator can merge: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25294 and viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25426 into this forum?

I don't particularly blame the support agents, so hopefully they shouldn't take things personally.

But if you look where we have come from to where we are now, you can completely understand why people are frustrated.

In the 'good ole days' Betfair had a call centre and you could speak to somebody. Now you are stuck behind a bot and then a live chat where they don't seem to have power or ability to resolve anything above a password reset.

10 days and still waiting for my bank transfer. In the past it never took more than maximum 2 days before the payment was deposited into my Betfair account.

The only answer I get from "Live Chat" was:
'The payments team work on a queue basis and once your ticket is next they will review it and will email you as soon as possible with a final answer to your private email.'

Very frustrating knowing that the payments team most likely won't have it done before this weekend. :evil:

Got this email from Betfair Complaints ([email protected]):

I am contacting you to acknowledge your recent correspondence with Peter Jackson. Peter has passed on your feedback and has asked us to investigate and respond on his behalf.

Good idea. Perhaps the support staff could use it as a training manual or source of information. And posters (or I should say I) will keep it polite knowing that they'll be reading it. :)

The trouble is even with Betfair having probably 80-90% of the Exchange market there are increasing challenges with liquidity. If a new entrant managed to get significant market share to challenge Betfair's dominance then then liquidity would be spread even thinner. What we really need is for Betfair themselves to stand up. But I don't see that happening under current ownership.
