Apparently, it's been taken offline because of multiple posts reported. My spat with James was on a different thread, so I can only say, it has absolutely nothing to do with me.

We've given the thread a time out. Happy to put it back if people stop using it to argue with each other and keep on topic.

Argument and debate are fine by me but some of the comments were out of order and its usually the same people who cause these threads to be closed. Maybe they should be given a forum time out rather than the thread.

I didn't actually see what happened as it was moderated by the time I was told.

Trading is tough enough as it is without duking it out on a non-trading realted thread.

Any serious issue that gets discussed usually ends up going down the conspiracy theory route for whatever reason which is a shame. I'm sure there are people on the forum who would like to post about these topics but when they see the direction these threads go, they just roll their eyes and don't bother.

Any serious issue that gets discussed usually ends up going down the conspiracy theory route for whatever reason which is a shame. It stopped being a debate and descended into name calling and swearing. Couple of people needed to step back from the keyboard for a while.

Honestly fed up with everything, saw the latest late night incident the next morning, no point covering it up, what happened is simple. James called Derek a rapist after one too many tasteless jokes and Derek understandably went ballistic and told him to go screw himself, more than once.

But what is pointless is locking and deleting posts and threads or endlessly reprimanding people, punishing everyone for the actions of one, or a few. With these late night drinking sessions all filters are clearly gone and nobody wants to read this nastiness. Allowing any one person so much power to completely ruin a discussion/topic for everyone is a terrible forum policy.

In trading terms, it might be time to cut one bad trade and just accept the loss. How can we call ourselves traders if we can't recognize a simple repeating pattern? I'm all for second chances and I'm glad James was given several, but I'm getting increasingly worried about his mental health if he has really started to enjoy the role of forum antagonist, for his sake as well I think he needs to stop actively seeking conflict with everyone.

People need to ultimately be held accountable for their actions, plain and simple. Otherwise this will only incentivize nastiness, if people know someone is going to clean up their mess afterwards.

I was shocked there for a second until I realised it was James. Nothing he says surprises me anymore, unfortunately he doesn't seem to have any boundaries.
