A new version of betangel has been released.
I don't doubt the quality, but i doubt I will keep on being your customer.
This product is, while hard to believe, even more inaccessible than the privious versions.
Almost imposible to select a market with a screen reader. Reason? Bad programming.
Imposible to get to the guardian, why? Bad programming, no labels on lots of the buttons.
I wonder if you have ever heard of the tab-key, if not, it is the key just to the left of the q on your keyboard.
To make this work, there need to be a tab-order ... there isn't ... Bad programming.
There might also, but perhaps you don't know, be something called a menubar.
This should not, as in the betangel be a toolbar. Bad programming.
For some reason, you claim that the f-keys should be able to change between different types of trading, bookmaking dutching etc. They don't quite work anymore. Bad programming.
In fact, but how should you know, there is a windows standard that says, that when someone presses f-10 it should bring you to the menu bar, or away from it. It doesn't, since you have misused it for something that doesn't even work anymore (smile). Bad programming.
I am sure someone is happy that you have implemented soccer mystic.
I would have been too, if it wasn't for the reason, that the button to get there has no text-label, and of course (since who cares) a tab-orderindex. Bad programming.
Conclussion: I have seen producte that is programmed, when it comes to accessability, worse than betangel, but that is seldom.
Lastly, I know that you don't give a shit about this, but I do, since I have paid for it. Which I probably won't do again.
There might be products out there, not better than betangel, but more accessible, and who at least care about accessability
Thanks for yet another unusable product

Hi Oddstrader
I think he is referring to the accessibility for some one who is registered Blind.
I am only going by his comment re:"Almost impossible to select a market with a screen reader"
You and I would not experience those circumstances
cheers

No offence intended but it's remarkable that somebody could try and trade with such poor eyesight. Good luck if you are willing to try. Not sure BA had any idea blind people would attempt to trade!
Sorting out tab order in a program this complex is in my estimate 3-4 hrs work? (could be wrong). Maybe you could have just asked them to look into it as opposed to having a massive rant?
While I sympathise with your position I, as another poster has suggested, imagine that the coders never envisaged a visually impaired person using the software.
You do criticize the programmers as if you are one yourself and so why not hook up to the free api and sort a solution out for yourself? Its really not that hard to get something basic up and running if your good with .net.
Personally I find the layout works for me and wouldn't like to see it any different. I don't have to move the mouse far to achieve 90% of tasks. Handy in a time sensitive environment.
I'm sure I read something about hot keys in the manual. Perhaps they could help?
