Can you tell me if it's possible to store the last traded price of all runners when the market suspends prior to going in-play?
At the moment, I can only seem to capture this data as a stored value once the race goes in-play.

There is an option on the General tab 'Allow rule to trigger while market is suspended'
That will also need ticking

In some races it will log the LTP just before the race goes in play. But in others, it is recording it way before that and I'm not sure why?
Could it be that if the market suspends due to a non-runner, it is triggering the automation then?

If its applied earlier in the day then yes that's possible, Betfair will suspend most markets at least once during the day before the actual off
You should just be arming the rule a few mins before the off till a few mins after
Or leave it always armed and add a set signal rule that triggers just before the off
Then add a signal set condition to your SV rule to test the signal is set
