Back bet after steamer

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas to what i can do to avoid a sharp steam. Basically I have a simple bot that places a back bet on the favorite with a few conditions then just a one tick offset. But what is killing me is when there a sharp shorten and then starts to drift out again, I am hoping to find a way that won't place my bet until say it drifted back out to where is was before the shorten up.
Hope that makes sense.
