This may be a daft question but I cannot find the answer anywhere. What does I.P.% stand for on the movemnt indicators?

Implied percentage chance. Ie 100/price, 100/25 would be a 4% chance. But some also use IP as abbreviation for in-play, (aka in-running) so context is everything.

thanks. Just one last question (as I think the movement indicator is Implied Probability) would that 4% be the implied possibility of the horse winning? Just trying to get my head round that and weight of money. thanks again

Yes, the implied percentage of a selection (100/price) is the percentage chance a selection has of winning. Weight of money is something different, its the relative volume of orders (unmatched bets) waiting above and below the current price.

👍 As a side note, the sum of the implied percentages for all runners 'should' be 100%. Where it isn't that's known as an overround or underground. Bookies make money by offering prices with an overround (eg something like 130%) meaning that the sum of the prices on offer are lower than their true combined chance of winning.

IP stands for "Internet Protocol," which is the set of rules governing the format of data sent via the internet or local network. In essence, IP addresses are the identifier that allows information to be sent between devices on a network.

We've officially run out of acronyms. In person, innovation and planning are intellectual property. And here's the other 164......
