Hi,

Like Bernie Sanders said, once again I’m looking for your support.

I really struggle with this signal stuff, I’m not very technical.

I’m looking at putting together a signal where
- at 11am it captures the favourite and the price
- then 30 mins before the race, I want the signal to tell me if it’s still the fav and if it’s trading above the price

Any help would be great

It'll need to be a Stored Value rather than a signal if you want to capture the price

So you'll need a 'Set/Modify' stored value rule applied to the fav and armed to trigger at 11am
On the signal tab you'd stored the price of the selection with a stored value name of your choice
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/stored_values.html

Then add a 'Alarm (play sound alert/show message) rule applied to the fav armed 30mins before the off
add a Stored value condition' to test
The price is the selection
is greater than
the Stored value named (whatever you called it)

These links might also help you understand signals and stored values better

Hey Dallas,

I've created the files but it doesn't seem to be working. Have I set this up right? in the log, I can see the price being captured but the bet not triggering

Thanks for the help :)

EDIT: I've created the rules in order to trigger a bet

Assuming the first image is of your bet rule and the second image your set/modify stored value rule then yes that looks correct

Cracked it. It was something as simple as "Price" instead of "price"

Thanks for your help as always mate

That's handy to know. I didn't realise SVs were case-sensitive.

Well spotted I missed that myself, as a general rule I always use lower case to prevent that happening

Yes, both signals and stored values are case sensitive

This is why I always have Notepad running when building a rules file. Then I copy and paste from one to the other. My typing is atrocious so saves on typos. I've lost hours previously
