Help on starting the Aussie markets!

Hi all,
I'd like to try the Australian horse markets but have no idea where to start!
I'd ideally like to Dob them but the sites I've tried don't give out previous bsp and hi/lo records.
How would I formulate a good Dob?
If there are any other approaches that would do better, particularly if I can automate, would be awesome.
Litterally any help on getting a foothold into the market would be most welcome.

Start by watching some aussie racing alongside the markets? If you do you'll see in-running has large spreads, poor offers and very little money around. You might make a $ or two but you'd be better off putting your effort into something that's worth having. Forget in-running and just trade it pre-off.
