This may sound weird but I like to move the horse that I'm trading to be on the left so that I can monitor the other horses without anything in the way. Is there a way to do a ladder sort, but exclude the left most ladder?
Thanks!
Sort ladders but exclude the first
I don't think so, other than doing it manually. I used to like having the horse I'm trading on the left. You can either select them manually or sort them and change the left-hand ladder to your choice, and set the ladders to swap in the general settings tab. It will just mean the favourite (or first in sort order) is out of sync, unless that happens to be the horse you're trading.
Ah ok, thanks. So far I've been reordering them and then switching the first ladder but that still leaves the remaining 4 (I have 5 ladders on display) out of the correct order. Not a huge issue tbh as like you said, I can manually do it, which just takes a second, but the less you need to do in these markets the better! Most of the time I'm on the fav so it's not an issue.
If I wanted to do that, what I would do is as follows:
If your screen set-up or window allows viewing four ladders, then create a set-up for five ladders and use the scroll bar to move to the right thus excluding the ladder left-most. In that way you will see selections 2, 3, 4 and 5, but not selection 1.
If there are only four selections in the market, then you would need to make a smaller window to only allow the viewing of three selections, then do as above to see selections 2, 3 and 4, but not selection 1.
As always with BetAngel, you simply have to think things out for yourself - the limitation is not the software but your imagination, problem solving skills and applied effort.
Another option would be to set a stored value on the selection being traded
Then use a custom ranking to rank them by that stored value
That would always put the selection being traded in the first ladder
You could even then get more creative and order them by most money you've had matched on a selection, the number of unmatched bets on a selection or the selection with the most recent matched bet etc
It's probably worth me knocking up an example for the shared files section on Sunday once the national is out the way
Then use a custom ranking to rank them by that stored value

Thanks for the response, but this isn't quite what I want to do. I don't want to exclude selection 1 from view as this is the one I am trading. I move this selection to the left manually, but then I want the next 4 ladders (I have a 5 ladder set-up) to be ordered by volume.Tuco wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 7:09 pmIf I wanted to do that, what I would do is as follows:

Sounds interesting! I'll look out for it!Dallas wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 8:48 pmAnother option would be to set a stored value on the selection being traded

To be honest, doing that isn't too much of a hassle, takes maybe a few clicks if I've got to re-order a couple of the runners during my "analysis time" for each race. But if I want to order mid-trade, it would be great to just press a button.
