Excuse the noobness, but I wanted to know if the following can be done.
In specific horseraces, I am looking to automate the following
Select a horse at the point where
a. the prices is at a certain amount
b. the race is at the 'Going In' stage
If the first criteria is not met, then no back bet is offered.
If it does reach a certain criteria at that time, another horse is backed.
If the first horse does not reach the required price criteria, then the second horse is not backed.
Can this be achieved?
Automated backing - can this be done?
You can test the price of a selection before triggering the bet, but there's no way of knowing the status of were the horses are at
The closest you could do is to arm the rule relevant to the event start time ie, 30secs before the start until 60secs after the start
and test the price meets your criteria with a 'Fixed Odds Condition'

Why isn't RaceStatus available? It's not always right but it's in the feed for UK racing. Is it something that's excluded from the data under the commercial licencing terms as opposed to having a full licence?
Not sure tbh, but there will be a reason it's never been addedShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 3:35 pmWhy isn't RaceStatus available? It's not always right but it's in the feed for UK racing. It maybe that it is because its been unreliable at times, I remember that was the case with the Winners flag for a long time and it was only quite recently having seen it had become more reliable has it been added
I will raise it with dev though

Thx but it's been mentioned several times, always draws a blank. It's not 100% reliable but I thought the ethos was that BA doesn't try to protect you, apparently that was the reason bets in transit aren't counted as unmatched, so allowing duplicates to go though if you refresh too fast.
I'm just trying to understand the logic around what's included and what isn't. MarketVersion would be handy too as would numberOfWinners.
Thx for the reply though.
Just a quick update on this after speaking with Dev regarding the adding of the pre-off race statusShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 6:24 pmThx but it's been mentioned several times, always draws a blank. It is currently on there workstack (and has been for some time) but is still under a low priority, this is partly as I suspected above due to the reliability and also its overall usefulness, but also as its not on the main API it would require additional work to implement it and although its been raised once or twice in the past it hasn't really gained any support from other users to bump it up the priority list
I've just had a (very) quick look and couldn't find any of the suggestion topics asking for it, so it might be worth starting a fresh topic one to see what support it now gets

Also with the integration of TPD (and although not available at every course) the information from that is probably far more useful than the racestatus to those wanting to know the location of the runners and how close the off is etc
