Hi All!

Just wondering what people do for their favourite trades, backing or laying under 2.5?
Personally I have started backing the unders for the simple reason that right from the off the market is moving "with you", i.e in the direction you want it to....so that "all" you need do is wait a bit and green up (haha yeah right!)..

As opposed to laying the unders, where the market is moving against you right from the start, surely this is a position we are all trying to avoid, not put ourselves into right from the beginning?

Any thoughts? as always, any tips/advice much appreciated!

Gracias!

I like to back unders early on then switch to scaling into laying unders, doesn't always work, but has worked great for both the Liverpool and Chelsea games last two night where the goals came in the later stages.

I like scaling in as the odds shorten, I think psychological makes you feel better as well , when you put on a straight back bet on unders you feel crap as the odds drop and your red increases, at least with scaling in part of you want a goal to profit and part of you wants the odds to continue to drop to scale in the resting bets below to full stake, only thing is sometimes don't get to full stake due to a goal, but that not a bad thing.
And of course sometimes there are few goals and just have to cut for a lose eventually.

Most people's mental approach is in line with yours - ie getting in a market which moves toward you rather than away from you. In a match with low expectancy as far as goals are concerned it's not unusual for there to be twice or more times the money on unders as on overs.

Sometimes this can give you a small edge - if you Lay Overs - by getting a better price and slightly quicker movement than by backing unders. Check the prices to see what I mean. This technique works best with smaller trades - if you're going large you need to be where the liquidity is!
