That's the message you'd get if trying to bet from locations BF isn't allowed
ie, a Australian residents betting on a in-play tennis market

Or if you are using a VPN it may have routed you through a banned country

Yes that's weird as I had my VPN set to UK but somehow when I loaded up the Betfair website it thought I was in Spain. Is Spain a banned country? There's a few things going wrong there.

Are there countries that are completely blocked and then there are countries where you can access Betfair but not certain markets and then there are the "legal" countries that can access all markets? Are there markets that we from the UK cannot access but say Australians can? etc.

Maybe someone could post an update on this please.

Spain and Italy both have closed exchanges which can only be used by there own residents with local IP addresses
Who in turn are not allowed to use the main betfair.com exchange, IP address from these countries are also blocked by Betfair.com

All markets can be accessed from the UK, and the list of countries with restriction is subject to change as new laws are passed, there's a list here which is probably still 99% accurate

I believe Czech Republic had the plug pulled on them December 31st 2016 and I do not think the other 2 are available but I will bow to anyone with newer and superior information.
