Even if I was feeling well I wouldn't bother with tonight. The breeders Cup was always a one day event until recently when they decided to stretch it out to 2 days. The quality is all pretty much tomorrow. Will be yet another early night for me trying to get over this damn illness. Best bet would be to go for a pint and get back for the 10.50 to see if Midday can win.

Racing For Change could learn a thing or two from the yanks about putting on a show!

Nearly killed him in the race. Footage of the 'fight':

Strange isn't it? I've never had the slightest interest in Horse Racing, but since trading I've slowly started to fully appreciate and enjoy the sport, especially these magnificent occasionsandyfuller wrote:Great Breeders Cup video - makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up:

ive always loved the jumps but never had any interest in the flat at all. similar to you over the last 5 years or so, my interest in flat racing as grown steadily. i think its a natural by product of spending so much time looking at markets, hearing different opinions etc. im going to attend my first ever flat meeting next year never thought i would wish to do that (been to loads of nat hunt meetings, especially cheltenham over the years).

I've been through a similar experiance. When I first started on the horses I knew about Royal Ascot, Goodwood and the Grand National but that was about it.
Now I have a much better appreciation of the sports and a lot of respect for jump jockeys. I'd happily take the family out for a day at the races.
I think the problem racing currently has is that it hasn't moved with the times and embraced technology and the users that brings. Most younger people are very technology literate and that is essentially racings new audience. I don't think it has addressed that very well.

Let's hope Dundalk doesn't spoil the BC coverage tonight - surely they will record DD if needs be.
