Hi All,

This is my first post in the Bet Angel community, so hi everyone :)

I have had a look through the forum but can't quite find exactly what I need.

My goal is to record videos of the price movement on the ladder interface, for the front few runners for each race type in the 10 minuet build up to off. I can certainly do this manually, but it will be a right slog. Is there a way to collect all this data automatically in Betangel and turn it into a video?

I'm new to trading and this seems like a logical approach to find a pattern.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum Daleho23. I think it should be possible. Load up your markets in Guardian, on Guardian Markets tab set 'Automatically switch Bet Angel market', go to Settings > Display and ensure the "Activate Bet Angel screen when Guardian auto-switches to a market" checkbox is checked, and then set up your preferred screen capture software.

Another approach is to record the data and look at that in excel or something similar. Or by placing small bets.

There is a good post here on how to record video's
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=13065

But I'd go with what Anbell said and look at capturing the data with Excel, there are plenty of ready-made examples you can download from the Betfair data section that will do this for you, the one by I-XL are good no frills ones that do a very good job

Thank you all for the feedback. I feel like I've lost years worth of potential here seeing those threads from many moons ago. Either way, the second best time to get started is today, so I will get cracking :) Thanks once again for the feedback!

Unless you want similar regrets in a year or two then put your effort into connecting directly to the api and storing the stream in a suitable database, perhaps SQL. The nature of this is that you don't know what you'll want in a couple of years time so the only logical approach is to collect anything and everything. Doing it any other way is a compromise.

But... I've been pulled up before about assuming everyone wants to do this seriously and some people don't want the faff, so if you want to collect some data rather than the data then you could probably get something going with BA and Excel quickly and easily. .

Never too late friend 👍

Only thing I will say is whatever you do make sure it's actual deepwork because you can spend many years getting absolutely nowhere, I even suggest to sometimes shut off ALL distractions

Good luck
