In the end I want to have an automation rule that executes trades based on the comparison of the most recent price and the moving average of the price. I believe history lists is the BetAngel concept that can help with that.

I want to save values for every selection in a market.

Below the History List slot selection there is a another drop-down with options: Current Selection, Nominated Selection and Market. What should I choose if I want to store it for every selection.

I am assuming the choice of the history list slot in condition is related to the choice of the slot when creating the rule/history list?

My next step would be too plot or check the data somehow. How could I do that? Also please correct it if I made any incorrect assumptions.

Neither of your images are displayed, but if you apply the 'Set/Modify Stored Value' rule to 'Every' selection
Then on the stored value tab the (current selection) will be every selection

Yes, if you put the stored values into History list 2, then you'd test that same history list with your condition/s

Basically I am not sure what the different options mean. Thanks for telling me about the choice of for Evert selection in the general tab.

I still how no idea how I could look at the stored values, either in a data-frame or a graph.

Its what you want to store the value for, you'd use selection if wanting to store data for individual selections, use market if storing data for the market ie, total amount traded or book% etc

To show the history lists in an advanced chart you then need to create it using the advanced chart editor, selecting the appropriate History list as your data

There are some ready-made examples in the advanced chart area of the customization section some of which include ready-made rules files which puts data into a History list then displays that on an advanced chart
