How can I use the race timer that is already in Betangel to set an alarm when 50% of the race is over?
If I use remaining% its completely different to the Betangel Race Timer across the top of the one click screen.
See the example below where the Betangel Race Timer shows 81% (19% left) and the remaining% stored value shows only 9% left of the race.
Which is more accurate?
Set a sound to play when 50% of race is over
The Bet Angel race timer can use one of three methods on your race meter settings page
Its own in built estimates for race distances
Your own estimates for race distances
TPD GPS data (if you have a subscription)
As you are using a TPD subscription to display the actual race distance then I'd set your race meter to use the same and the Bet Angel estimated for races where TPD is not supported
To set and alert up you just need an 'Alert (play sound/show message' rule with a 'Stored Value Condition'
to test the value is less than 50%

I dont have a TDP subscription. I would just like to have an alert when the Betangel Race Timer is 50%. I can only set it to the estimates given in the baf file you posted called "In Running Timer STD Times". I'm just wondering if there is a way to use the timer that runs accross the one click screen the data that it uses and tie that in with an alert. Ya get me?Dallas wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 2:10 pmThe Bet Angel race timer can use one of three methods on your race meter settings page

It does already and can't be used until you do, that's what I was telling Gstar to use (option 2)

Hi Dallas I have tried to setup as the title says using some of the screenshots you've posted but I cant get the sound/alert to trigger. Is there a post somewhere with a walkthrough or a file I can download to use? I also want it for when 50% of the race has passed on the race meter, using bet angel's estimate.Dallas wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 1:21 pmIt does already and can't be used until you do, that's what I was telling Gstar to use (option 2)

I've not posted any screenshots in this thread so unsure which ones you are referring toKendrick wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 10:27 amHi Dallas I have tried to setup as the title says using some of the screenshots you've posted but I cant get the sound/alert to trigger. Also are you sure its not triggering? if you check the log and Automation tab below the bottom window in Guardian that will tell you if its triggered or not
it could be the sound file (ie, the rule is triggering but the issues lies with the actual sound file), the first thing to check is that is a .WAV file and plays ok
No it isn't working. Is it possible to download something that does this? Sorry for very slow reply.Dallas wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 6:06 pmI've not posted any screenshots in this thread so unsure which ones you are referring toKendrick wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2025 10:27 amHi Dallas I have tried to setup as the title says using some of the screenshots you've posted but I cant get the sound/alert to trigger. Yes but im still not sure how to adapt it? I delete the three files to dutch the favs and then what? Where does the alert or sound come from? As you can tell I find this difficult. As someone said previously it would be good if this could be built into betangel?Dallas wrote: ↑Sat Mar 01, 2025 3:46 pmHepburn posted a link above your postKendrick wrote: ↑Sat Mar 01, 2025 3:36 pmNo it isn't working.
