TEMPORARY_BAN_TOO_MANY_REQUESTS

Hi everyone,

New user here.

I have been logged into BA successfully this morning. Selected the Horse Racing I was interested in on guardian, and left it logged in whilst waiting for nearer the time of the first race.

I went to log into Betfair directly, so that I could get a stream of the racing, and found I was unable to log in, receiving an error message "This account has been locked because our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This is a security precaution. Please try again later or contact us if you require any further assistance"

I then logged out of BA, and attempted to login again, and recieved an error message as per the above title.

I have been running BA in practice mode, with the option selected to record all market activity on selected races in guardian. Would this have caused the error, and if so, is there a way to still record my practice trading without triggering these errors in future?

What's wrong with the P&L page recording that, with too much practice mode the only thing you will trigger are Betfair

Sure, the purpose of today's training is to defeat yesterday's understanding, but does riskless and emotionless trading with monopoly money really achieve this

If you don't have two factor authenticaion on then it could be a brute force attack on your login is being attempted: -

So it's best to switch that on, to make that impossible.

I have had this many times in past (possibly a dozen) despite having 2 Step and what seemed to trigger it I found was bringing my laptop out of sleep mode
