The party members are more to the right than the EDL, extremely affluent, have no regard for the public sector and wanted Braverman or for Boris to return. They probably have more in common with Reform UK than they do when the actual Conservative Party.
While I was a member went to a number of party dinners. Believe it or not I don’t think I had very much in common with 99% of those at my tables.
Both Braverman and Patel have been gushing about the membership. That may work for them. But it sure as hell doesnt work for anyone else.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 2:44 pmThe party members are more to the right than the EDL, extremely affluent, have no regard for the public sector and wanted Braverman or for Boris to return. The membership elected Truss. They clearly have no idea what they're doing. I admire their unity but I imagine the scale of the Labour majority is changing views within the Tory members.
I'm about to look at the odds. I'm guessing Badenoch, Patel, Braverman, Tugendhat, Cleverley.

Kemi Badenoch
Robert Jenrick
Tom Tugendhat
James Cleverly
Priti Patel
Suella Braverman although thankfully she is at 500.0
