Am I onto something or am I going mad. I backed a horse at odds of 6 for €20 on Bet 365. Odds on bet 365 drifted to 7. The cashout value is now only €17.15 - €2.86 euro loss.
Lets say If I had simultaneously layed at odds of maybe 6.4 at the time €20 (€128 Liability).
After cashing out the B365 bet for a loss, I could have backed on BF exchange for lets say odds of 7.6 for €17 stake (Currently 9 now but being generous) I'll have made a small amount of profit.
Am I going mad or is it that B365 loss in value in the cashout amount is less than what one would have gained in the drift on BF exchange? What am I missing
Bet 365 cash out odds?
What you describe sounds fairly normal. Prices can move in either direction. You would have made a profit on that occasion if you laid the horse on Betfair, but it cuts both ways. Sometimes it will go in the wrong direction. Backing at 6.0 on Bet365 and similtaniously laying it at 6.4 on Betfair would put you at an immediate loss, so wouldn't be sensible. If you anticipate a drift, you'd be better of just laying it.OvergrownHeffo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 10:37 pmAm I onto something or am I going mad. I backed a horse at odds of 6 for €20 on Bet 365. Football 2ups are where you can make the money on 365. IF you know how to select the right matches.OvergrownHeffo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 10:37 pmAm I onto something or am I going mad.
