Hello All,
I use geegeez.co.uk, quite a lot for my trading on horses. I use it differently to most, I guess, in that I focus on pedigree to analyse individual races. Is there anyone else here that uses geegeez.? I don't mind sharing what I do,but it would only make sense to those who have it.
Cheers
John

Just going to put a couple up whist I have the time.
13.40 Ross. lay W and place 3 on IN THE TRENCHES. By kodiac damsire dansili. Kodiac is a very poor nh sire. Over today's conditions (yeilding/soft soft)and distance heis 0/40 6 places in non handicaps. He should be up with the pace in this race, and with it being a large field probably won't get a chance to take a breather in the race.
NATIVE SPARKLE in the same race is bred for this type of race, and is my pick. It also helps that the trainer is 4/6over hurdles at the course over the last 5 years, and 6/8 overall
Good luck

In the trenches faded as expected, just a shame that the rest of the field were worse apart from the front 2.
My selection might be a great gymkhana horse in the future

The pedigree analysis I do is targeted on the conditions of the race. I match up the sires/ damsire against, class, ground conditions, gender, distance, handicaps ect. It's not a perfect science by any means,, and I have seen some (and financially felt) horses win races where their relatives failed miserably beforehand.
Today for example, the Kitten's Joy horse ISLE OF SARK is 0/13 with only 1 place when it's is pitched up against the race conditions today (damsire 0/2 no place) . Yes the horse finished 2nd over similar conditions but that was in a class 5 race. All the other horses in the top 5 in the betting have solid enough stats. The favourite's sire Spanish moon has a 21% strike rate 10/46

My recommendation would be place lay 2 and 3 places on isle of sark

Another to consider laying win and top 2 finish is in the Newcastle 19.30 COURT DRIVE. Both sire and Damsire have a similar strike rate of 1/14.over tapeta. Her placed effort was in a fillies handicap. Her competitors are soild over conditions. Worthy note Sire Blue point has a strike rate of 25%. He is represented by 2 in the race
