the speed at which your money travels depends on whether it goes from your credit card to your betfair account or the other way round.
In the first case it takes about half a second whichever the amount is, the other way round it can take from 1 to 4 business DAYS, depending on the load it carries!!!! Perhaps the distance is different or we are always up on a hill...
