Is anyone able to correspond with Betfair about their account by email?
Till yesterday, I was able to do so.
But now they tell me that 'Due to privacy laws we can not provide customer account details via e-mail'.
So were they breaking the law in the past, or is this customer service advisor's knowledge of the law incorrect?

Not tried Jeff, but I did contact Bet365 by email this morning, so it's not new privacy laws affecting the bookmaking industry in general.
This suggests Betfair have increased concerns about security, and don't wish to correspond in this manner in case email accounts have been hacked into

Possibly - Either that or the person who received my email couldn't be bothered dealing with it, and decided to pass the buck!
