Good Morning All,

I've been playing around with some in running automation which is really interesting to see, I'm currently backing a runner in certain circumstances and placing an exit lay bet at a lower price, all working perfectly.

I want to add a rule to close out for a loss if the price starts to drift too much, but I'm not sure on the best exit trigger, is Last traded price being greater than x the best bet or say current back pricing greater than x?
There are such big gaps in running I dont want it to trigger too easily is my concern so I wondered if anyone had any advice on a decent exit strategy?

Thank you.

I don't have the answer...

But one thing worth having a look at is book% and how it varies over the race. It might give you some ideas...

I used to capture it and chart manually but maybe BA can now chart it in real time (BA has changed a lot since I used to do this). Not had a look for a while..

My in-running exit strategy is to not exit.

The volatility of price plus the one second Betfair delay make it unviable for me. As long as you're consistently buying in at value then you will win in the long term anyway, without giving back some of your profit by greening up.
