I was in the middle of trading WTA match and Betfair just closed it.
The match continued there was no sign of any injury or problem with the players.
I had a red of £27.86 on Zheng and Green of £541.72 on Krejcikova and I could have hedged for £86.05.
I contacted Betfair at 16:33 when the match was 3-3 in the second set. I was on the live chat for 20 minutes watching the game play out with Zheng winning in two sets. Thus I lost.
What can I do in this situation? What redress do we have if any?
Betfair closed an active tennis match - What can I do?
You can squeal to "customer support", but you will waste your time.
If the green had won, you wouldn't have posted.
Next time .. and there will be a next time, maybe the ball bounces in your favor.
Sorry - but suck it up / hedge elsewhere (if possible)

Keep harrasing customer support and hope for an offer.
My understanding is that these feeds are managed automatically. So if they lose the feed to the third party provider or something fails at their end, it looks like the market has ended and their automated systems kick in.
That's probably what has happened here.

I expected these answers. I guess it's a lesson to keep that red as low as possible at all times.
This has happened to me twice this year now so while it's rare, it happens often enough to be a concern. Not sure I'd be as chilled about it if I had a more significant figure in market though!
I did grumble on the live chat and I was given £27 in a bonus as a good will gesture which I gladly took
