Betfair delay

Could anybody shed some light on what sets the length of bet delay.
5 secs is fine,8 secs is tricky and I find 12 basically unusable as it's guessing.
What puzzles me is that Eredivisie and Primeira Liga are 12 secs and yet I traded a non league match on Monday between Biggleswade and North Leigh which had a 5 sec delay.
I know North Leigh quite well and it is a small village so how does that work?

Presumably it depends on the delay of the live data feed BF are using for that game for in-game events etc.

The betting delay is available as an attribute within Bet Angel I believe.
