Hiya!
In a nutshell, I've been trying to create a servant to use when in-play racing, which fires in a bet 10-15 ticks away from the live price so that I can exit for a small/medium loss (30-40% loss of stake etc).
I uploaded a Stop Loss servant from BA but can't get it to work properly.
I've managed to import it, create the custom button on the one-click screen, amend some parameters etc (see attached image) but am going round in circles!
I could ideally do with some really simplistic 1-2-3 steps to follow if anyone knows, please?
Thanks

Thanks for replying.
The servant is called 'AS Right Click Stop Loss for Backs Bets'
I'll try and attach the same image once more - in 3 different formats.

If all you want to do is place a green up bet 5-10 ticks away from whatever the current price at your chosen time I wouldn't bother with editing that servant
All you need is a 'Close trade on selection with greening' rule
applied to 'Servant Context'
Always armed
and on the 'Parameters' tab set it to
Custom ticks above best price 10
and that's it just 1 rule and no conditions

The Close All servant seems to work okay so far on the few races I've needed it in-play - fingers crossed.
As for the Back Bet servant with 'Close trade on selection with greening', it has triggered the bet, but seems to be exiting me too early.
I have attached images for a race I traded (and how I have it set up), in which I used £3 stakes - I had to enter twice as the first time the servant exited me too early (not a 30% profit), and then it did the same.
Entered at 2.58, Exited 2.52
Entered at 2.46, Exited 2.22
Thanks.

ps, the next race, the original back bet servant with greening was placed 3 times on Thedevilscoachman, even though I only placed it once - it did this in an earlier race as well. It seems something is not right, and that an adjustment needs to be made, please?
Thanks
Thanks

Your screenshot shows the original servant has had a few rules removed, and I'm assuming possibly other edits have also been done?Trading2025! wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 2:23 pm

Without knowing what all these edits are or seeing the log its impossible to know what its now doing
However in the original servant it uses 'Servant Context' which means you are responsible for selecting the price it triggers the bet at when you start the servant, it then just places the closing bet 10 ticks above the price you selected, and the green up bet is placed 10 ticks above the current best price half a second after the closing bet has been triggered

Hiya! - this seems to be proving way more difficult than it should be.
I have just deleted the old servant for 30% green and imported a new one - this time for 50%.
I have not done anything to it (please see images).
From the last two pieces of info you sent (see below), I'm not sure what I should be doing now - completely leaving the servant alone after importing it or editing it.
If anything needs doing my end from this point, could you please, please provide clear step-by-step instructions - a dummy's guide if you like.
1. go this section.
2. click on this.
3. save.
4. select this.
etc
Thank you

So you've now downloaded a totally different servant which is for a different purpose/scenario as there isn't two of any example were just one simple detail (ie, a percentage) is slightly different as the user should always be able to change a value themselves?Trading2025! wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 1:43 pmHiya! - this seems to be proving way more difficult than it should be.

You are totally over complicating it.
For what you've asked for its so simple and straight forward there isn't even an example servant as they are all created to do more specfic tasks requiring extra rules and conditions.
To simply exit a trade at the time of your choosing 'with the greening bet placed X' ticks or '%' just create a new one from scratch exactly as I detailed in my second reply above
viewtopic.php?t=30395&start=3
That will be far quicker and easier than trying to strip one of the examples down to do the same, unless there is something more specfic you want other than exit a trade by placing the bet 'X' ticks or '%' away from the current price?
