Curious what successful racing traders do when it comes to skipping/trading markets.

If you're experienced you can find opportunity almost everywhere, when you're new you'll be looking for a handful of situations so will be doing fewer.

Agree with this.

I started by scalping, but realised that didn't work in all markets. So omitted them until I found a solution and then started trading them with a different style.

But of course, if you wait for a really good opportunity you will get 2/3 a day and that would be plenty for most people.

Thanks. I think I can guess who voted for 'trade every race'. :D

That was reason for the post tbh. I think I could do great with only a few races a day. I am just infu**ing capable of it. so i hoped a poll might drill something useful into my brain and give me strength to wait!

I haven't voted because I guess you mean manually.

Are you over-trading? If so do you know why? Overconfidence, impatience, boredom, no clear plan, lack of discipline? Identifying the root cause is key to fixing it.

Or when I gave AI your post it came back with.....
Discipline isn’t about willpower in the moment; it’s about structuring things so you don’t need it.
